Who we are

MR Psychiatry Center provides mental health care. We are responsible for the information you give us when you book and during your care.

What we collect when you book online

  • The patient's name, age and — if you choose to tell us — sex.
  • A mobile number to contact you about the appointment.
  • The service, clinician, date and time you choose.
  • Any short note you add for reception (please don't include medical details).
  • Your consent choices (to arrange care, and whether you want SMS messages) and your preferred language.
  • Technical information needed to keep the service safe: your IP address is used to prevent misuse (for example, limiting repeated bookings) and appears in our security logs.

We do not ask about symptoms, diagnoses or medicines on this website. Those are discussed privately with your clinician. The callback and admission enquiry form also asks only for a name, a phone number, who the enquiry is for and when to call.

Why we use it

  • To arrange, confirm and manage your appointment.
  • To recognise you at reception. An online booking creates a provisional record that reception checks with you at your visit, so the right information goes into the right record.
  • To send appointment messages — only if you agreed.
  • To keep our services secure and prevent misuse.

We do not use your information for advertising and we do not sell it. Care reminders and any marketing are separate: marketing would always need your separate consent.

Text messages (SMS)

  • SMS is optional. We only send appointment messages if you tick the box when booking (or tell reception).
  • Messages are neutral: they only include the date, time, booking reference and our phone number — never the reason for your visit, a diagnosis or medicines.
  • We avoid sending automatic messages late at night.
  • You can stop messages at any time by telling reception or calling us.

Who can see your information

  • Staff see only what they need for their role: reception and billing see booking, contact and payment details; clinical notes are limited to the clinicians and care team involved in your care.
  • Access to records is logged and can be reviewed.
  • Sharing a phone number with family does not give anyone else access to your records.
  • Where we use service providers (for example to send SMS, take online payments or host our systems), they may use the information only to provide that service to us.

This website

  • There are no advertising trackers, social media pixels or cookies on this website.
  • To improve the website we keep anonymous counts on our own server — how often each page is viewed and how often buttons such as “Call” or “Book an appointment” are pressed. No cookies, IP addresses or personal details are stored, and nothing is sent if your browser has “Do Not Track” switched on.
  • The booking form sends your details over an encrypted connection directly to our booking system.
  • Links to Google Maps, YouTube or social media take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies. A map or video only loads on this site if you choose to start it.

How long we keep information

How long booking and medical records are kept will be set out in our records policy, which is being finalised in line with applicable requirements.

Your choices and rights

  • Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.
  • Withdraw consent for optional uses, such as SMS messages, at any time.
  • Raise a concern or complaint about how your information is handled.

To make a request, ask at reception or call the number on our contact page. We will confirm your identity before sharing or changing any records. Registered patients can also log in to the patient portal to see their appointments, prescriptions and receipts.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page when our practices change. For booking rules, see the booking terms.
