Our commitment

Dr. MR Siddique Psychiatry Centre wants this website to be easy to use for everyone who needs it — including older family members, people with low vision or reading difficulties, and people who use screen readers, keyboards or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we keep them in mind whenever we design or change pages.

What we have done

  • Two languages. Pages are published in English and Bangla, and you can switch language from any page. Bangla is written as real text, not as pictures, so it can be enlarged, copied and read aloud.
  • Readable text. We use plain language and short sections, and you can enlarge text with your browser's zoom without losing content.
  • Keyboard use. You can move through the website with a keyboard. A “Skip to main content” link and visible focus outlines help you keep your place.
  • Screen readers. Pages use proper headings, form fields have labels, and images have text descriptions.
  • Colour and motion. Meaning is never shown by colour alone, and we aim for strong contrast between text and background. The website follows your device's settings for reduced motion and high contrast.
  • Phones and slow connections. Pages are light, fit small screens, show their main content even without JavaScript and can be printed.
  • Your choice. Maps and videos load only if you choose to open them.

Known limits

Some parts of the website are not yet as accessible as we would like:

  • Google Maps and YouTube videos come from other companies, and their accessibility depends on them. Our address is also written as text, and you can open any video directly on YouTube.
  • Online booking and the call-back form need JavaScript. If they do not work for you, please call us and we will book for you.
  • Some screen readers do not yet read Bangla well. The English version of each page carries the same information.
  • Our new visual design is still being finished, and we will check colour contrast again when it is in place.
  • Some older pages may not yet meet every standard. We fix problems as we find them.

Asking for help or another format

If something is hard to use, or you need information in a different way, please tell us using the details on our contact page. For example, we can:

  • read or explain a page or policy to you over the phone;
  • book an appointment with you by phone;
  • give you a printed copy of a policy, or provide it in another format, where we can.

Please tell us which page you were using, what the problem was and what would help. We will do our best to help, and what you tell us helps us improve the website.

Visiting the centre

If you, or the person you are bringing, need help to reach or move around the centre — for example step-free access, a place to sit while waiting, help with forms or someone to meet you at the entrance — please tell us when you book, or call before your visit. We will tell you what is possible and how we can help.

If we have not been able to help

If we have not been able to help you, please use our complaints and feedback process, so that we can put it right.
